Build to Survive MONSTERS beginner guide

A safe starter plan for meeting your team, building a usable shelter, surviving an attack, and improving the next attempt.

5-minute setup

1. Confirm the game and find your team

Check that the experience is Build to Survive MONSTERS! by Banana Studios Something. Similar titles can describe different games, so matching the developer is the fastest way to avoid an outdated or unrelated guide.

The official description encourages playing with friends, and the Rolimon's listing reports servers of up to six players. Our starter strategy is to group up so everyone works around the same plan instead of scattering effort.

Field note

Safe starter plan: agree on one compact shelter and one clear exit direction. This is practical advice, not a claimed official rule.

2. Build small, clear, and together

Build around the same protective structure. Start small enough that the team can understand and adjust it quickly. Leave a clear entrance and an exit route rather than sealing every player into a confusing interior.

  • Let one player continue building while another watches the direction of the monsters.
  • Keep teammate routes open while the attack is active.
  • Use the current in-game prompts for exact controls and costs; this guide does not invent them.

3. Survive the attack as a group

Monsters attack, and the official description specifically mentions a zombie attack. When pressure starts, prioritize staying alive and preserving routes for teammates instead of making the structure larger without a plan.

After the attack, identify the exact location that failed. Change that one weak point on the next attempt so the team can tell whether the adjustment helped.

4. Review items without assuming they are free

  • Cash exists, but its exact sources and reward formula are not verified here.
  • Optional game passes include movement, health, recovery, and cash benefits.
  • Learn ordinary running, jumping, and retreat decisions before relying on a paid mobility item.
  • Use the Pusher responsibly; disrupting a cooperating teammate works against the team plan.
